چکیده

We study the existence of liquefaction and evaporation waves by the methods derived from dynamical systems theory. A traveling wave solution is a heteroclinic orbit with the wave speed as a parameter. We give sufficient and necessary conditions for the existence of such heteroclinic orbit. After analyzing the local unstable and stable manifolds of two equilibrium points, we show that there exists at least one orbit connecting the local unstable manifold of one equilibrium point to the local stable manifold of another equilibrium point. The method is known as the shooting method in the literature. Mathematics Subject Classification (2010): Primary; Secondary

A Dynamical Systems Model Of A Thin Liquid Film With A Surfactant And Gravity

In this project, we use a dynamical systems perspective to analyze a mathematical model of a thin liquid film on an inclined plane, which reacts to the effects of gravity and a small amount of a surfactant. A surfactant (dish detergent, for example) is a chemical agent which coats the surface of a liquid and lowers its surface tension, altering its flow pattern. Surface tension is one of the pr...

ابررسانای d- موجی، پادفرومغناطیس و مایع اسپینی در ابررساناهای آلی شبه دوبعدی

The self-energy-functional approach is a powerful many-body tool to investigate different broken symmetry phases of strongly correlated electron systems. We use the variational cluster perturbation theory (also called the variational cluster approximation) to investigate the interplay between the antiferromagnetism and d-wave superconductivity of κ-(ET)2 X conductors. These compounds are desc...

Modeling of liquid–liquid equilibria of aqueous alcohol + salt systems using amodified NRTL

The modified NRTL (m-NRTL) model is used to represent the excess Gibbs free energy of aqueous (alcohol + electrolyte) solutions. In this work, the m-NRTL model previously developed for representation of vapor-liquid equilibria for (polymer + salt + water) systems has been extended to represent liquid-liquid equilibria of (alcohol + salt + water) systems. The proposed extension is a modified of ...

Bifurcations of Traveling Wave Solutions for a Class of Nonlinear Evolution Equations

By using the bifurcation theory of planar dynamical systems to a class of nonlinear evolution equations, the existence of traveling wave solutions is showed. Under different parametric conditions, various sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence of the above solutions are given. Explicit exact parametric representations of some traveling wave solutions are obtained.

Bifurcations and parametric representations of traveling wave solutions for the Green–Naghdi equations

By using the bifurcation theory of dynamical systems to study the dynamical behavior of the Green–Naghdi equations, the existence of solitary wave solutions along with smooth periodic traveling wave solutions is obtained. Under different regions of parametric spaces, various sufficient conditions to guarantee the existence of the above solutions are given. Some exact and explicit parametric rep...
